I installed Garuda on my wife’s gaming machine last autumn, dual boot with Windows. I haven’t seen her using Windows since then, and she said she hasn’t. She loves it btw, says, even better graphics in some games. And KDE is an eye candy anyways.
Every time I see “green Ubuntu” I’m remembering me, 25 years ago, with another green Linux, Suse, with 12 cdRoms, trying desperately to install it on my ancient grey brick.

Don’t laugh, I’m old: Fahrenheit. But Mafia was great, too. Witcher - almost. Loved the alien game with Ripley’s daughter too, forgot the name, something Sevastopol station. But that’s it for me in the last 20 years (!) I wish they would emphasize a good story more, but I guess that’s (graphic) novels for.
Modern gaming? I’m playing war thunder since 2016 (with interruptions) and it feels like a chore since 7 years. Now as I think of it, the chores began for me back in the 90s in a point and click adventure on a 286 PC.
I put Garuda on my wife’s gaming PC, she absolutely loves it & it does everything it should, no problems whatsoever. And it’s based on arch, so if there is something, I know how to fix it. Awesome beginner gaming distro imo, recommend!
