Indeed :(
Social media was a mistake, even group chats on messaging apps turn into shit pretty fast.
By genuinely not being only interested in them being women.
I don’t usually do it, so when I do it it means that I really like that thing.
So that’s why! I’m going to the other one then.
I’ve been posting on !origami@feddit.de
But it doesn’t seem to work too well, for example, if tap on the link I just wrote my posts don’t show.
Years ago I went for one in the cheaper end of “gaming” mice, I don’t remember what brand, I could look it up once I get home.
The plastic springs of the side buttons broke after a couple months but with some macgyvering I fixed them easily enough and still works fine to this day. The least amount I ever spent on a mouse is the one that lasted me the most, so no complains.

I barely use Reddit because it got too big. Our brains can’t handle to interact with thousands of different people, you don’t interact with people anymore, you interact with reddit as a whole.
The other consequence of becoming too big is moderation, I keep seeing people complaining about mods, try to moderate anything with hundreds of daily posts and thousands of comments.
As I said, too big for its own good.
As the electronic version of [look of disapproval], the same way the upvote means [nodding while thinking yes yes]
They call it hallucination because the first guy didn’t know the word fabulation.
I want to point out that before calling them hallucinations we already had a word to describe that, fabulations.
You just need to solve greed.
I don’t know, 15 years ago? Maybe more. I tend to destroy all the notebooks after a while. There some level of catharsis at ripping the pages and throwing them into a fire one by one. Like getting rid of those emotions that brought me to write all that stuff and that I don’t need anymore.
Tech billionaires trying to make it profitable by scamming schools. I bet they’ll want to charge many times the salary of the teachers they want to replace.
I totally get the tech savvy feeling. There’s usually too much information and options. With email it is easier to say “pick one at random, they are all the same”. Lemmy seems very different at first, you see a big list of instances, each one with it’s descriptions, some of them stating ideals and visions, it feels like a more important choice than what it is.
All this even before reading anything about defederation!
Most people needs that first choice made for them and figure thing out once inside.
What makes you think that? Because they have a somewhat similar colour?
