Unplug everything from the router. If the router has a speed test built-in, use it and see the baseline performance. Start plugging stuff in and see when it starts going to shit.

Fedora, imo, strikes a great balance between modern, cutting edge, and stable. It’s typically what I recommend.
TLDR; it’s the way we’ve always done it and there’s a lot of inertia so we won’t put in a plan for the future because that’s a lot of work.
The energy used by mining Bitcoin is the energy required to hold back human corruption and fraud. In other words, it’s so costly because humanity is so shit. Fiat, by comparison, is cheap, but it is also inadequate at holding people back from corrupting their money.
