Sure, but Debian with the CLI installer. The normal installer is pretty straight forward but not as easy as calamaris or anaconda. I bet people who can install Debian are skilled enough for archinstall

I’m not sure about this. My journey through Linux was Ubuntu > Arch > Debian > Fedora + Arch. Even just Ubuntu gave me enough knowledge to try Arch. Even Windows Powerusers could know shit about partitioning, installing etc.
This is “I use arch, btw” - Beast-Mode
PS. There was always the normal chroot, or not?
Years ago I installed it manually, too. For learning, yes. But regularly, no. The archinstall package is easy but a newbie would struggle there, too. It’s just a faster way for skilled Linux Users.

Long time Jellyfin user here, welcome on board. I think biggest hurdle I should newbies warn about is the lack of availability on TizenOS.
Its possible but needs some extra steps.
Maybe, Streamyfin? its the only iOS App with Downloads and Offline-Mode

+1 but for the Moby Soundtrack.

Samsy@lemmy.mlto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What are some of the stupidest, **non-political** takes you've seen on the fediverse?5·2 months agoYes, that’s true, sometimes bug research pointed me to the arch Linux forums, and I was like: never ever I post one of my noob questions there. But that’s not all. Its just one point of view.
The skill level differences with Linux are huge. And people that wrote great wikis are sometimes frustrated if they get asked things they already explained elsewhere.
Linux is confusing for beginners, never forget this fact and be kind.

Hey Plex users, save your money and buy a coffee for the jellyfin team!
Burnt my fingers. It’s not enough freedom for changing compose settings. But that’s just my two cents.
Looks good. But I got burnt with CasaOS. Only App organizer I still use is dockge.
Did the same some years ago. It was for the gap between win7 and 10.
Everyone told me it was the best productive time. Because users can’t install stuff and my network blocked a lot of dumb shit.
But now we got new win 11 PCs and every user is back on solitaire or shady websites.
Means what?
