Not sure how much power you need - but I just bought a used Microsoft surface 7 pro and installed Linux Mint on it. Was pretty damn easy actually. Runs great!

Assuming you work from home the real answer is that you just get up every few minutes and move. It doesn’t matter what. Some squats, pullups, pushups. Even a few hundred steps works wonders.
The key is to make the barrier to entry as low as possible. Then you actually do it more often.
Besides that, find a sport you think would be fun. Just try a bunch of trial lessons or join some people you know.
Some card or board games. Especially relatively easy ones to help with the inevitable “what were we doing?” situation.
Soms to ask each other fun and thought provoking, even philosophical questions.
Or fuck that and just put on a compilation of funny videos and before you know it’s Monday again.
That’s a big “if” though…
Thanks cor the clarification. Didn’t realize you meant bug spray. Never had to use that fortunately but it doesn’t sound like fun at all, living with an infestation.
Also, TIL about the 6-8 hours. That’s a long time actually.
You definitely can easily tell led from oled. No need for a side by side test.
Holy shit, at first I thought they were pokemon cards of billionaires like Bezos, Musk etc.
BRB coffee time.
Not to be a jerk, but you’re making up a lot of reasons why you cannot do something. it’s your choice, but the results will also be yours.
Truncated graphs. I hate them but they are so often (ab)used, even in professional situations.
For sure. Which is not a bad thing at all BTW. So many good interactions on Lemmy.
Not sure if intended as a joke, but if so, haha.
Fair, the French will just curse at you in French and look angry.
This is true. But the general rule of thumb is that the farther you are away from a big city, the worse the understanding of English will get.
Try speaking English in a rural Dutch town and you will get hilariously broken English. There’s a famous book about it - Make that the cat wise. Full of literal translations that make 0 sense.
Shower first, then bathe & relax.
Shaking the towel is not weird IMO. I do that always because sometimes those dryer lint balls stick to laundry. I’d hate to get that on my wet body.
The body spray, I put on deodorant before sleeping to keep my pits fresh since I shower before bed. Works wonders!
O my god. This is so relatable. I was 14 or so when a girl in my class told me I need contact lenses because I couldn’t read the school board unless I sat in the front (spoiler, I sat in the back).
And I was like nahh. Then I got a checkup and I was already at like -2. Then I wore lenses for years and I absolutely hated them. They stick to my eyes. Then only at like 18 I got glasses (not cool to teenage me) and I never switched back.
Maybe they should give children check ups, at least once in their life lol.
That does sound a bit one sided. If you ever (want) to learn how to cook, you’d be amazed what you can do with vegetables, other than boiling them. Those can be truly inspirational and unique. Will be tough to sell to your family though haha.
Interesting, in NL frikadellen are more like ground-up-meat long sausages.
Buy some tea bags?
