I wasn’t a big fan of horror movies until later in life, mostly because my parents wouldn’t allow slasher type films.
So I ran through the saga. I enjoyed them, though I wouldn’t call them art, lol.
I agree, the reboot actually got me more interested in the lore, which I think Barker excels at based on his games Undying and Jericho.
Ok, but imaging playing one of the new Doom games with that set up:
Action starts to get intense.
The tension, and temperature rises.
Suddenly, a whisper at the back of your mind “hail satan hail satan hail satan”
As more enemies appear, and the temperature rises, it becomes louder, pulsing in your ears. Somehow a whisper that is now shouting.
As you cleanse the demonic filth, the chanting subsides and stops, bringing a measure of peace, at least for the moment.
My first thought was a self-made sigil, it even has a clue as to the creator in it.
But I’m not a narc, so if their HR is watching they can get fucked.
Pretty much it, I’ve been made an “honorary black man” twice, once for handling my self well at a black fraternity a former roommate was joining, and once… well, for the alleged size of my wedding tackle. I don’t count that last one as a good reason, but I didn’t say it.

Violence should only be used in self defense when violence is going to be used on you, or to protect other who can not protect themselves.
Fascism, sadly, only seems to understand pain and suffering. I suppose a clean kill is more merciful than that, though I can’t say I condone it outright.

If your wedding tackle has shifted at all during your swim, may be try to get out away from the others a bit, not a creepy amount, but like… Be on one end of the group, turn away slightly when transitioning from water to land, place your hands “casually” in a way to cover yourself without drawing attention, all sorts of little tricks you’ll internalize before you know it, but it starts with being self aware.
Yeah, and if you get out of the water and have a “flattering” outline in your shorts, its suddenly becomes a much larger issue being the only adult male, and with children around… eesh.
I mean, I don’t know if I’d still be interested in women after being a vampire that long, but I’d like to think so.
Go to a country with lax sex laws (or at least enforcement), set up a bordello and feed on the workers while they sleep off their necessary highs for doing sex work for a horrible human (vampire) being.
Plus, under the rules I’m fixating on mentally, drinking the blood of someone who is high will get the vampire high, and after hundreds of years plus immortality, I’m gonna get high at some point lol.

WD-40 is not a lubricant, it can do it short term, but makes things worse long term.
WD-40 literally stands for Water Displacement - Formula 40.
Its to keep mechanical components hydrophobic so they don’t rust or otherwise degrade due to the presence of water.
For locks and keyways, you want powdered graphite as a lubricant. I keep a small tube (puffer style) in my pick kit if needed.
Or slightly more expensive, if legal in your area, are actual locksmith tools.
I have a pick set I busted out this morning to unlock a pad lock on our circuit breaker (outside for some stupid reason, locked because its a new development and we had construction workers turn the house off while me and the wife were the only people on our respective jobs working the shift remotely)
We need power to run desktops. A UPS is handy, but its a bandaid to shut down correctly until power is restored fully.
You don’t get dependencies in real life like that.
You work 10 years in an industry and try to get a promotion? That may be a dependency issue.

We shared a house with my wife’s brother. He was an alcoholic, and got uppity one night. I was at work, so not home.
Our dog made sure he regretted being an aggressive ass towards his sister.
Then I nearly got assault charges for making sure he remembered why he was bruised and scratched up the next morning after I got home from night shift. The canine puncture was his own fucking problem. Note: I didn’t lay a hand on him, was just accused.
