I use Safari with Adguard and Chrome with Ublock on macOS and Chrome on Android with AdAway root version, and they work pretty fine for blocking ads, but these videos especially in news sites always autoplay and annoy me a bit, I think they have the same effect as the ads in annoyance level for me.
Do you know of some extensions or workarounds to get rid of them for good?
I don’t know any … autoplaying videos. Which makes me think you need a better working adblocker. I know it’s harder in locked down browsers, but I read even apple has proper blockers.
Yeah, I think this would be harder on mobile.
Not on operating systems with more than one browser.
I like Chrome though.
While no one should use Chrom(e|ium), it still supports proper adblocking on mobile. But on a locked down system like iOS, you can’t actually install Chrome, it’s a skinned version of Safari,
