Most people watching this will have had absolutely no clue what he is doing
I believe it’s the latter, yeah
Sky is basically saying they don’t know the reasons why it happened – but what seems to have happened is that the “Austrian” side of the business ‐ sports CEO Oliver Mintzlaff and part-owner Mark Mateschitz – have managed to convinced majority-owner Yoovidhya to drop support for Horner.
Racing Bulls team, not Red Bull Racing.
Yeah they probably can’t terminate his contract immediately without some legal trouble or huge payout. So he’ll be on their payroll for a while longer but not involved anymore.
And Toto essentially can not be fired as he owns a third of the team’s shares.
I think these two could be simply leaving due to loyalty to Horner, or using the chance to jump off.
Can’t really think of a reason why the owners/board would specifically fire marketing/communications people.
You wouldn’t fire a team principal effective immediately without giving a reason IMO. Maybe this is Red Bull operating differently from your regular F1 team and it’s really just because performance and Max. But to me it sounds like something bigger – either related to the allegations or Horner did something that lost him the owners trust.
They would have probably given him a reason if he was sacked for team performance.
Fired immediately without reason given sounds like something major.
I did a “Huh” there for a second, thinking they fired Mekies as well. Good to see Mekies promoted to RBR
Pretty nice move and Hulk’s race engineer seemed to have been sleeping lol
Well, the story is not realistic at all. But at least it was believable to me, as in: it’s not completely impossible.
Combining tactical rule breaking and unsportsmanship with the most unusual accidents and incidents that have happened in F1 in recent years is… a choice. It makes good entertainment.
The story of Brad Pitt’s character himself and the rookie as well I actually enjoyed watching. Was surprised by that.
Both Max and him have repeatedly said the same on this and it always confuses me because of the age difference. It must be something like Hulk still doing karting besides his single seater climb up
For me personally it seems like Oscar really 100% thought that penalty was bullshit, and he didnt realize what a dangerous chain reaction he caused by the sudden breaking as the safety car lights turned off.
So now we’ve seen his demeanor when he thinks he is being treated unfairly. Which is different from how he usually behaves. Pretty human.
When was the last time Max was so happy for another driver? I remember something similar last year or the year before? was it for Lando’s first win?
Max burying his possibilities of getting out that RB contract
Accelerating under red flag is something that they need to punish harshly
Oof the moment Bearman does a stupid red flag pit lane crash, he does a mega Q1 lap
They use “Plan C” as a code for crashing lol
Margot Robbie used to be around here
