Road signs, like safety regulations, are written in blood. There was a big drive a few years ago to get the aristocracy to donate blood so that they could use the colour blue on road signs.
They could always harvest the government’s spittle so could use brown instead

It’s worth a go. People drive down cul-de-sacs with parked cars everywhere on an estate with loads of kids at insane speeds. This might help a lot
